This is a high power USB wall charger which charges upto four smartphones, tablets, sat navs, ebook readers, and the many other devices which charge from a USB socket. Plug the cable supplied with your device into one of the USB sockets, and it will charge at high speed. This charger has been tested working with the iPhone 5, the new iPad, iPods, Blackberrys, and many other devices which are often slow or do not charge from other universal chargers.
The successor to our best selling PortaPow Quad, we've improved it in all the big and small ways you've asked for. Its now smaller, more powerful, has interchangeable plugs, faster iPad charging, a unique colour and shape LED to let you see at a glance when each device has finished charging. No LEDs are on when the charger is not in use so its less distracting, and we've moved the USB sockets to the top so its easier to connect your cables.
Features
4.2A (21W) of total power and the ability to output all of it from any single USB socket or shared between the four. Upto four typical smartphones can be charged at max speed. Its still backwards compatible with devices which charge at a lower current, the PortaPow will not charge your devices any faster than they were designed for. Note tablets will charge faster with a good quality cable.
'iPad Fast Socket' - Most iPads were originally provided with a 10W charger, and most 3rd party chargers also charge at this speed. The latest models are sold with a 12W charger, and The iPad Fast socket on the Crystal follows the same spec. This can charge iPads 20% faster, even older iPads. This socket also allows iPod charging, which most universal chargers do not.
Charge Status LEDs - Each USB socket is represented by a matching LED, each with a unique shape and colour. At a glance you can see when your device has finished its main charge and has switched to trickle charging as the LED will turn off. The charger shows that some devices actually continue to charge after displaying 100% on screen. The charger has short circuit and overload protection.
Wide compatibility - Charges Apple products, Blackberrys, micro USB devices and all other devices designed to the charged from a USB socket just using the original cable the device was supplied with, no need for a special charging cable. Most versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Note 10.1 do not follow the standard USB specification so will not charge using a normal USB cable. Click here for an adaptor.
Four Travel Plugs - The charger includes UK 3 pin, European 2 pin, US 2 pin, and Australian 2 pin plugs, as pictured. They clip securely in place and cannot become detached accidentally.
